Focusing on Blessings.

I've been stressed out lately, and haven't been writing as often....thought I'd look at some photos and think about all the blessings in my life as a way to keep balanced.

Grateful for my family. My dog-obsessed, wine-drinking, weird but totally normal FAMILY. Also grateful Glee is back-that means Tuesday nights, I'm in Flower Mound. I love a routine.
Grateful for my best friend, the constant, always-loving, Georgie. I'm such a better person because of his love. Look at that grin. I'm so lucky. He calms me down more than anybody. He's been a great help lately.
Grateful for relaxing nights in my bed with my dogs. SO GRATEFUL for these dogs.
Grateful for my friend, Jessica, who will do my hair (which saves me thousands of dollars over the course of a lifetime!)

Grateful Jessica knows how to correct a little "holiday" as they call them in hair school!

Grateful for my friend, Ashley, and these amazing cocktails. Wishing I was sipping it right now, actually.

Grateful I have a JOB in this ECONOMY that I actually LIKE.
Expansion set up for breast cancer patients
(Filling a tissue expander until there is room for an implant)

Bovie Machine
(Electrocautery to stop bleeding intra-operatively)
Grateful I have a roof over my head. A cute roof over my head. Never mind that the rent is going up in October and I need to move. For now, I have a cute roof over my head, and for TONIGHT, I'm going to be grateful.
Grateful I enjoy free entertainment. Grateful for beautiful days. Grateful the summer is finally fading into fall.

ACL 2011

Well, we just wrapped up another fantastic festival. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the following performers:

Stevie Wonder
Arcade Fire
Kanye West
Fleet Foxes
Nas & Damian Marley
Ray LaMontagne
Pretty Lights
TV On the Radio
Big Boi
Iron & Wine
Broken Social Scene
Fitz & The Tantrums
Delta Spirit
Foster The People
Alexander
Mavis Staples
Gomez
Joseph Arthur
The Secret Sisters
The Cults

More importantly, I enjoyed eating great local food (HELLO Kerbey Lane and the Waterloo, Mighty Cone and Torchy's Tacos!!!), becoming completely immersed in Barton Springs, and spending quality time with my friends and boyfriend. It was a great weekend and I'm ALREADY excited for next year.

Enjoying our morning coffee on Richard's 3rd-floor, corner-apartment balcony. DELIGHTFUL!

Cassidy and William

Sweet Georgie

Love Jacob's expression!

THIS BUTTERFLY has made the ACL Experience 100x better. We are never lost!

It was the 10th anniversary for the festival; our 6th year to go!

George and I relaxing on the blanket

The rain was well-received. This is a view from inside my awesome bubble umbrella (thank you to my mom, the best gift-giver of all time!).

Cassidy, William, Matt, and Richard in Barton Springs

This would be the butterfly! Uniting the ACL fam!

Lovin' our 3-day passes, as per usual!

Since I had the hat and dress this trip, I figured I'd duplicate this photo from 2008 (I think?)...not bad!

Waterloo Screwdrivers. GREAT $3 start to the last day of the festival.

The weather was blissful. I couldn't believe we got so lucky.

Hard to believe this was TONIGHT. Seems like an eternity ago already. Last night of the festival, packin' it up until next year.

I <3 my ACL crew! Had a blast with you all!!!!
