A Day at the Farm

Our family has a farm out past Justin, TX, and I have always enjoyed going up there since I was a young girl. It's nice to get far away from "normal life," and walk on a dirt road, while gazing up at trees older than anybody in my family. Today was no exception. The entire Van Meter family was there, plus George. Allie, my cousin, has been taking guitar lessons for 8 weeks, and has REALLY caught on. She is a natural! And hearing the two of them play together...absolutely melted my heart. Mimi cooked a delicious meal, complete with a vegetarian quiche made especially for me and Laura. Everything from the amazing food to the family time made for a beautiful and WONDERFUL Saturday.
