A Few Of My Creations

When I Have The Time...
...I love to get artsy! And make things!

Here are a few of my favs around the house:

When George used to visit me in Oklahoma, I would sew (by hand, no machine, YET!) a piece of flare to one of his plain shirts. I will continue to add on this shirt now, because it is so unique and I love when he wears it!!! This picture cracks me up because he had just spilt some Ranch dressing and it landed underneath the bird's tail. Convenient spot! Hahaha!

Take note of the frames on either side of the mirror in my living room, and see the pics below for up close views!

I made these Beatles collages years ago, and they now hang proudly in my living room! This one is George Harrison and Paul McCartney.

Within the collage are lyrics, written by each musician on their respective collages. The mat on each frame consists of my doodling with Sharpies. The collage themselves includes fabric, magazine clippings, print-outs, pastels, paint, and sharpies. Ringo and Lennon.

This began as a craft-box for storing some of my projects, but it now sits at my desk at work. I've turned it into my "Happy Box" and when co-workers do me a favor or help me out, I nominate them! We all do this for eachother now, and once a month, we will have a drawing for a $25 gift certificate. I was proud that my idea was accepted at the office, and grateful my boss was willing to pay for those giftcards!
One magazine did a poll of Americans, asking what ONE WORD describes "happiness" and the larger the word in this image, the more responses. Ex: "Family" was the word that most Americans associate with happiness. Look closely, there are some good ones in this cloud of joy!!!

Inside, when it was housing crafts and inspirations.

The inside of the box is a collage of things that inspire me or make me happy.

I dated it and put my favorite symbol on the bottom. This artsy box now has  a happy home at my job!

George thought I overdid the shirt with grass (the fabric that covers my headboard) and my trademark, so I need to come up with a way to tone it down a bit. This is a new arrangement pinned down, and I'll begin sewing shortly.

I can't wait to see him wear this shirt again! The once very GEORGIE shirt now has a touch of LINDSAY on it, with that mariposa!
