My Personal Sense of Fashion: Anthropologie-Inspired Textiles

Since I wear scrubs Monday-Friday, I do not get the opportunity to express myself through fashion very often. When I get to choose an outfit, I put WAY TOO MUCH THOUGHT into it! I seriously over-analyze my clothing to a neurotic degree. When I am picking out my outfit, I feel I am picking out my mood and 'tude for the day. 

If I could wear Anthropologie clothes everyday, I would. This store epitomizes an ethereal, luxurious, bohemian-meets-young professional style. 

I do tend to have occasional ::splurges:: at this store. I justify it because I don't spend money on professional clothes! When I shop there, I typically feel grateful I am not married, and don't have children, because I don't feel a bit of guilt spending money on myself (so long as rent and bills are paid), since I have worked hard to earn it! 

Anyhow...if it can't be from Anthro, I at least pick it out with Anthro inspiration. I have a LOT OF SUCCESS thrift-shopping and consignment shopping. I also love outlets, particularly Saks (Grapevine Mills Mall), Neimans (Grapevine Mills Mall), and Nordstrom's (the Rack, in Southlake). Here are a few of my very favorite pieces!

since it was literally $1, i feel no guilt kayaking in this dress!  you wouldn't catch me dead in a kayak with an actual anthropologie dress on! yah right!

I know there have GOT to be people out there who are as crazy as me, right?! Is it normal to have this amount of LOVE and PASSION for outfits?! Perhaps I give clothing too much power, but I really allow my clothing to describe my mood and feelings to my world! So WORLD, take notice to my outfit! If it's BRIGHT, I'm probably in a GOOD MOOD. If I'm combining BROWN and BLACK accessories/shoes, I'm probably feeling EDGY. If it's BOHEMIAN, I'm feeling a little more loose. If it's SEQUINED, I'm feeling a little more glamorous. And if it's SCRUBS....I'm probably HAPPY but TIRED!
